General managers of The New Quad, Dane Chin and Emery Meghoo have decided to call it quits with the owners of the nightclub, after what they describe as a successful seven-month period.

The two, who have several years experience within the night-time entertainment industry, have resigned after coming aboard with Nite Time Promotions, (owners of Quad), on July 1, 2010.

THE STAR spoke with Emery Meghoo and he explained the reason behind their resignation saying, "We got word that Nite Time Promotions was pulling from the entertainment industry for good. When we got all the details and were fully aware of what was happening, they gave us first offer to purchase the building, but we didn't see it as a lucrative offer so we gave them 30 days notice in which we would resign as general managers."

Those 30 days are now over, and the two have since made their departure. Meghoo wished to make it clear that their resignation has nothing to do with bad blood between the two entities.

"It was a great relationship between us and Nite Time Promotions. There was absolutely no problem at all. It was a great synergy between us," he said.

The events that were held at The New Quad during their tenure included Levels, Club Theory, Thriller, Champagne Dreams, Stulla Wednesdays, Hikki, Club Barcode and Milky Way.

Those events were a hit among partygoers, and for the support that they received, Meghoo is thankful and hinted that they are soon set to bounce back.

"We're just thanking the people for giving us seven months of strong, proper support. Although a whole heap a time wi get basket fi carry water dem still show we love and support. We wish the new owners all the best in their endeavours.

"And wi just want them to be on the lookout for plan B. It's going to be exciting, believe mi," he added.

As to what will happen to The New Quad, Meghoo remained tight-lipped about the matter.
