Cops claim ... Students' drug house busted
SHELDON WILLIAMS, STAR Writer

Six students from a school in Manchester were allegedly caught smoking ganja in a house when they received a surprise visit from the police who had gone to the house to conduct a raid.

Information reaching THE STAR is that the six students - five males and one female - between the ages of 15 and 17 years, were found at the house gathered in a circle smoking the drug when the police arrived.

THE STAR understands that about 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, a police team from the Christiana Police Station went on a raid in Savoy district where they entered the house and saw the teenagers smoking.

Other students who were reportedly outside the house at the time ran away after they saw the police approaching.

THE STAR was also informed by the police that residents have labelled the house as a regular meeting spot for students to gather and smoke ganja.

The owner of the house was not present at the time of the raid.

The students were later arrested and charged with possession and smoking ganja. They are to appear in the Mandeville Juvenile Court at a later date.
