Sections of west Kingston under curfew |

Police last evening imposed a curfew in sections of west Kingston. In a release last night, the police said the curfew was imposed in sections of the Texton and Anthony Road areas in the Kingston Western Division. The curfew reportedly began about 6 p.m. and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. today. According to the release, the boundaries of the curfew are north along Rosseau Road from Texton Road to Lincoln Crescent and east along Lincoln Crescent from Rosseau Road to Lincoln Avenue. The boundaries also run south along Lincoln Avenue from Texton Road to Lincoln Crescent and west along Texton Road from Rosseau Road to Lincoln Avenue. the police said that during the hours of this curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the operation. |
