Still paving the way for the release of his upcoming May 24 album, Chino McGregor recently did an interview with the Gambian Daily Observer.

The artiste, known for hits like From Mawning, Ruff It Up, and Protected, spoke in depth with the Gambian media house about his musical background and his future projects, which include the upcoming US album Chino - The Autobiography of Daniel McGregor.

He says, "That was a great experience, getting to reach out to my Gambian fans. The last time I was there was a few years ago, so it's good to know and see the reach of reggae and dancehall music. Seeing the love of fans and their appreciation of the music helps to keep me focused and grateful. Once the album drops, I'll definitely be back in Gambia and other parts of Africa. So they can count on that."

In addition, Chino's recent exploits in his busy schedule include: the release of a new track Yeah Yeah on Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor's latest project, the Peppa rhythm and back- to-back shows in the USA.

Chino is slated to leave the island this weekend to perform at Power 105 FM's 'So Blessed' concert at BB Kings on February 20, Hot 97 Boston's Dancehall Salute Showcase on February 22, Hot 93.7 FM's Reggae's Next Generation concert and more.

Chino, who won the award for Best Male Singjay of The Year in the Excellence in Music and Entertainment Awards (EME) last year, is once again nominated in the category this year.
