Cops release names of men killed in Bannister |

The Old Harbour police in St Catherine have released the names of the two men who were killed on Monday night in Bannister district. They are Andrew 'Gaza' Ellis, 25-year-old of Sylvester Drive, and 30-year-old Trevor Roberts of a Bannister address, both in the parish. The men were killed and a woman injured when gunmen opened fire on them, police reported. business place Reports from the Old Harbour police are that about 11 p.m., Ellis, Roberts and the injured woman were among a group of patrons at a business place in the community when the driver of a silver Toyota Corolla motor car drove up to the establishment. Shortly afterwards, two armed men disembarked the motor vehicle and fired several shots at the patrons and reportedly robbed one individual, before escaping in the motor vehicle. The police were summoned and the injured persons taken to hospital, where Ellis and Roberts were pronounced dead and the injured woman treated. Investigations are ongoing. - R.T.
