Persons of interest identified in $50 million robbery

The police have identified two persons of interest in connection with the $50 million robbery that took place on East Road off Waltham Park Road, St Andrew, on February 3.

According to investigators from the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), Corrian Collins, o/c 'Jerome Blacks', and Kenton Smith, o/c 'Bredda', should turn themselves in to the nearest police station by 6 p.m., today.

Reports from the police are that three security guards were driving along East Road off Hagley Park Road in Kingston, when a blue Honda motor car collided in their Suzuki Liana.

It's further reported that while the guards were assessing the damage to their car, three gunmen got out of the Honda motor car and robbed them of the cash, a.38 Smith and Wesson revolver and 12 rounds of ammunition.

The Suzuki Liana was later recovered on Greenwich Street, Kingston 12.

In the meantime, the police are asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Collins and Smith to contact Operation Kingfish at 811, Crime Stop 311 or Police Control at 119.
