Cops nab arson suspect |

A St Mary man is now in the custody of the Islington police following a suspected case of arson which resulted in the destruction of a four-bedroom board house on Wednesday at Knutsfield in the parish. homeless Nobody was injured in the incident, but at least 10 persons are now homeless. Reports are that about 3:30 p.m., the owner of the house had a verbal altercation with a family member who also resides at the house. Further reports are that shortly after the dispute, fire was noticed coming from a section of the structure. The fire reportedly ravaged the house and destroyed all its contents before a fire unit could reach the blaze. Loss is estimated at $2 million. The name of the man in custody is being withheld as he is not yet charged. |
