Al Miller bail extended in gun loss case

Pastor Al Miller had his bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Miller is to return to court on March 7 for trial.

He has been charged with negligence causing the loss/theft of his licensed firearm.

Allegations are that on January 21, about 6:30 p.m., Miller was on a school compound in the Shortwood area picking plums with his 30-year-old daughter. He reportedly left his black pouch containing his licensed firearm, a .38 revolver, and some cash on the floor of his vehicle.

It is alleged that after Miller and his daughter arrived home he discovered that the pouch was missing with the firearm and its other contents.

It is also reported that his BlackBerry was also missing.

The matter was reported to the Constant Spring Police Station.
