Be careful of tenants - 65-year-old landlady warns |
|||||
The deplorable condition in which the toilet is kept. A 65-year-old woman is claiming that she has been the victim of a reckless tenant, this after she rented a section of her upscale community home for a little over two years to a young couple. "Dem disgusting, dem pay di rent like a church collection but my main problem with them was that they kept the place nasty," she said. When THE WEEKEND STAR visited the land-lady's home earlier this week, we were given a mini-tour of the previously rented space, where she quickly pointed out a messy carpet, a murky mattress and a stained toilet bowl. According to the 65-year-old woman, this is not the first time that she has been renting her place; however, this was by far her worst experience. She further reasoned that if it was not for the couple's adorable three-year-old son, they would not have been given first preference. "They were here for about two years and about three times dem cuss mi out dog rotten, I had to even call the police. Dem spoil up mi carpet so badly, mi never want to lock dem up because I have worked in the court system for years and at my age I don't want to go through any long process." The 65-year-old claims that she has intentions to rent her place again, once she has completed the necessary repairs. In the meantime, she says her advice to the public is "to be careful of tenants".
