For Sherrian Campbell, music has always been something that she liked from a young age. She fondly remembers when she and her friends used to sing popular songs together.

"When I was about 13, I used to always be singing with my friends," she recalled.

She draws inspiration from artistes such as Etana because of her strong, positive and lyrical content.

Describing her music as cultural reggae, Sherrian said that although she does not have anything exclusive to offer the music industry, she is prepared to work on expanding what is already present in an effort to bring out the best in the music.

Her most successful song, she said, is Only Clean, which was recorded late last year.

Sherrian is booked to perform alongside Prince Ranny, Natural Substance and Rosie Marie, among others, at the 'Black History Month Celebration', which is to be held at Talk Of The Town Club, Brooklyn, New York, on February 26.

According to her, "Those in attendance can expect a great performance of positive music. I'm just going to provide great entertainment, trying to bring back the good music."
