She hosted a show called Entertainment Insider for two years. However, the tenure with the station ended and McDonald has moved on to host Evolution on Bess FM. "It was an amicable decision. Their vision was not in line with my vision for the programme. It was totally out of sync," she told THE STAR. Now she has eyes set on making her new show, Evolution, a successful one. McDonald says, "Bess FM was revamping and they were looking for a great host and great segment for their afternoon segment. They thought I fit the criteria. They asked me to come on board and I said yes." On the first day of the show, which is aired from Monday to Thursday between 1 and 5 p.m., McDonald said she surpassed her own expectations. "I found the first day awesome. I had huge support. It was very good, much better than I expected," she said, noting that she spoke with her listeners via live stream on the website and Facebook. While there is competition from other radio personalities on in the same time slot, like Miss Kitty and Ragashanti, McDonald said the difference lies in the focus of her show. "It's centred around women and I think that is the difference that is going to make Evolution stand out. Its major focus is on women. We chose women because there was no other programme that focuses on women alone," she told THE STAR, after her first show on Monday. "We want to hear what women really think. We hear what women think and men get to understand women better. It's kinda like a marketing strategy 'cause where women are men follow." As her show progresses, McDonald says, "I expect it to get bigger. I have a good audience from the previous show and I hope to get other listeners. It will help to build Bess FM as well and I do believe Evolution can do that," she said.
