Santos, Boys' Town clash again |

Ryon Jones, Star Writer
Despite a 14 place difference between the teams in their local football standing, the match-up between fourth place Digicel Premier League team Boys' Town and fifth place Super League outfit Santos will take centre stage in today's second leg of the quarter-finals of the KSAFA/Claro Jackie Bell knockout competition, at Collie Smith Drive, at 3 p.m. The teams played to a one-all score line in the first leg encounter, with Fabian Nethersole later giving Santos some hope going into the return leg, after Anthony Bennett had given the Red Brigade the lead. Boys' Town will however not be sitting back on their slim advantage, as their coach Andrew Price is fully aware of the danger poised by less fancied teams. "We are going to go out and play some good football ... in knockout competitions the underdogs sometimes come up trumps. In games of this nature, we can't take Santos for granted," Price said. "I believe once we play the way we are capable of we should be able to get to the semi-finals and that is our ideal, to go as far as we can," he added. He will, however, be without the services of his captain Michael Campbell, who is still out injured. Santos will also be without their former captain and leading scorer Nethersole, who made the switch to Cavalier on Monday night, just before the close of the transfer window. This will make Santos' task even more difficult than their coach, Carlton Dennis had anticipated it to be. "We are behind the eight ball, so we have to go and play our normal game and try to get a goal," Dennis said. "Respect to Boys' Town, they are fourth in the premiership, we are not doing very well in the Super League but when you say Boys' Town and Santos it is a different ball game," he added. In the other quarter-final match-ups, Waterhouse are poised to advance, as they hold a 4-2 advantage over Police National, who they will entertain at Drewsland. Arnett Gardens also have some breathing space as they play away to Greenwich Town, who they defeated 2-0 in the first leg. Digicel Premier League rivals Tivoli Gardens and Harbour View will do battle at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex, with all to play for following a nil-all stalemate in the first leg. Today's Games Boys' Town vs Santos at Collie Smith Drive 3 p.m. Greenwich Town vs Arnett Gardens at Tinson Pen Oval 3:30 p.m. Tivoli Gardens vs Harbour View at Edward Seaga Sports Complex 5 p.m. Waterhouse vs Police National at Drewsland Mini Stadium 6 p.m.
