Four students stabbed, another in custody |

|
Four students of the Manning's High School in Westmoreland had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition yesterday, and another taken into police custody, following a stabbing incident at the school. Information received from police sources is that some time around 8 a.m., a student was standing beside his sister on the school compound when he was approached by another student said to be armed with a knife. critically injured Further reports are that during an ensuing altercation between the two students, the weapon somehow fell and during a struggle for it, four students were left with knife injuries. They were all taken to the Savanna-la-Mar hospital where two of them were said to be in critical condition. One of the critically injured was reportedly transferred to the Cornwall Regional Hospital for treatment. |
