Vandalism disrupts water service in MoBay

Several sections of Montego Bay, St James, were left without water for several hours after vandals damaged sections of the water main.

According to a release from the National Water Commission (NWC) yesterday, "due to damage from vandalism of the air valve at the Salt Spring no. 1 facility in St James, water supply to customers in Salt Spring, Montego Hills and Montego Heights has been disrupted."

The release further stated that the NWC "apologises for the inconvenience caused by this culpable act and will endeavour to restore the water supply as soon as the necessary repair work is completed."
