Appleton Musique - 'Red Light' could be described as the three Es - exciting, enjoyable and entertaining. The premium drink-inclusive event held on Saturday at the Constant Spring Golf Club, St Andrew, saw patrons trickle in after midnight and quickly filled most of the venue. What stood out were the many female patrons who turned up, outnumbering their male counterparts by far. Patrons crowded the bars and the bartenders did a good job of working quickly and efficiently in order to satisfy the request of patrons. Only a few patrons stuck to the 'black-with-a hint-of-red' dress code; those women who did so - did it well. ZJ Chrome, Coppershot and Richie Ras were in top form as they pulled musical magic from their hats and played good sets which the patrons seemed to thoroughly enjoy. The women had a blast as they danced to hip-hop songs such as Usher's Love In This Club, Soulja Boy and Sammie's Kiss Me Thru The Phone, Keri Hilson's Knocks You Down and Drake's Best I Ever Had. The deejays also played dancehall hits like Cham's Vitamin S, Mavado's Star Bwoy and Vybz Kartel's Love Dem, Like A Movie and Bicycle, that had women on the dance floor with their male counterparts closely behind. Akon's Locked Up, Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot and Kanye West's Golddigger also found favour with the patrons. The $1,500 for early-bird tickets, $2,000 for presold tickets and $2,500 at the gate were well worth it as Appleton Musique was truly fantastic.
