Added to the already bustling nightlife in New Kingston is the latest hotspot, now open to the partying public, Club Impulse.

The launch of the club, held on Thursday night at its 61 Knutsford Boulevard location (upstairs Burger King) was flocked by patrons, curious as to the vibe that the club with the tagline, 'Don't Think, Just Do It', had to offer.

The musical ambience was set by the two resident deejays as well as selectors from Coppershot Sound.

In the early hours of the night, the deejays played a mix of old dancehall songs such as Danny English and Egg Nogg's Meet Me At The Party, Elephant Man's Message and Beenie Man's Row Like A Boat.

A short but spicy performance from high-flying reggae-dancehall artiste Khago was well received by patrons. Nah Sell Out, Nah Sell Out Part Two and White T's & Adidas were among the songs he performed.

The ladies seemed to have a blast as they danced the night away to hip hop hits like Shutterbugg, I Feel Free, Deuces and Fancy.

As usual, Coppershot Sound blazed a dancehall trail with their hit-filled, high-energy set, receiving forwards for a number of songs from singjay I-Octane.

Hot Wuk, Tease Har, Back It Up and Work It Like A Factory, gave the Club Impulse ladies the chance to get wild as they simply let the music take control, not thinking, just doing.

The club will have its retro night on Wednesdays, there will be Happy Thursdays, and After Work Jam each Friday between 5-11 p.m. Saturday nights will have a hardcore party vibe, and on Sundays the already established and popular 'Gyal Farm Sundayz' party will take over the club.
