Some women do experience vaginal dryness during sex which causes pain and discomfort. This could be due to hormonal changes, but it can be helped by having an understanding partner who is willing to give more time in foreplay. Perhaps you forgot to mention that there are lubricants that a woman can use if she experiences dryness. However, no lubricant that is oil based should be applied if a condom is being used.
