Female driver's bail extended

The female driver implicated in the motor vehicle accident which occurred at the intersection of East and North streets in Kingston, last April, faced the court yesterday.

The accused, Stacey-Ann Kennedy, who is charged with dangerous driving had her bail extended until February 23 in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court.

A preliminary enquiry into the matter is expected to be ready by the next court date.

The court heard that the accused was driving a truck on the day of the incident along East Street when she disobeyed the red light resulting in a vehicular collision.

The truck being driven by the accused reportedly slammed into a motor car which was proceeding in an easterly direction along North Street. A pedestrian was also killed in the incident.
