Fitzroy Hutchinson, who is charged with possession of ganja, is set to return to court on March 30 by Resident Magistrate Georgiana Fraser despite maintaining his innocence.

Hutchinson told the court,"Tell yuh the truth, Your Honour, a nuh my ganja," causing laughter in the court.

He then explained that, "police draw down" while he was at a cookshop alongside another man who was crushing ganja in his hand middle.

However, when the man saw the police approaching he dropped the ganja in the cuff of Hutchinson's pants.

The accused said he had informed the arresting officer that the ganja was not his and even pointed out the owner to the police, but the police decided to charge him anyway.

The accused was then asked by Resident Magistrate Georgiana Fraser how the ganja was so intelligent that it could have ended up in the cuff of his pants foot,which amused the court.
