Gang attacks woman for moving hose |

Eight men are on the run after they allegedly went on a shooting spree and emptied the house of a 53-year-old woman on Friday night. The incident reportedly happened on Rifle Road in the Mountain View area about 9 p.m. According to the Kingston Eastern police, the woman was at her home when a man from the community went on to her premises and attached a water hose on her outside pipe. It is alleged that after the woman disconnected the hose from her pipe, the disgruntled man and some of his friends were seen making phone calls and shortly after pulled guns and opened fire on the house. It is alleged that the woman who was home with her children and grandchildren had to lock herself inside the house. nearby fence THE STAR understands that after the men fled, the scared woman and her family had to jump a nearby fence and was injured during the process. It is further claimed that the woman who was still in her sleeping clothes reported the matter to the Mountain View police, who went to the location and processed the scene. In the meantime, THE STAR understands that on Saturday morning when the woman went back to her premises she realised that her house was emptied. Items reportedly missing include a television set and a refrigerator among other appliances and valuables. The police are pursuing strong leads into the incident. |
