Cops probe murder cases |

Police say they have not made any breakthrough with their investigations into the shooting death of a 21-year-old man and the injuring of his 23-year-old friend in Golden Hill district, Stony Hill, St Andrew, on Wednesday. Police have identified the dead man as Xakel Duncan of Pinto district in Stony Hill. Reports reaching THE WEEKEND STAR were that about 5:30 p.m., both men were walking along the roadway when they were pounced upon by two men armed with guns who shot them repeatedly. The police were summoned and they were taken to hospital where Duncan succumbed to his injuries and his friend admitted. Investigations continue. In the meantime, the Morant Bay police are seeking the public's assistance in locating the relatives or associates of Roy McGhann, who is now deceased. McGhann's body was found on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 about 3 p.m. on the Bull Bay main road at Ten Miles in the parish with what appeared to be stab wounds. Anyone knowing Roy McGhann or the whereabouts of his relatives or associates is being asked to contact the Morant Bay police at 982-2233, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station. |
