Songbird Tessanne Chin recently launched her debut album, 'In Between Words', at the Liguanea Club in New Kingston.

Friends, family and well-wishers came out in their numbers to support the launch.

The highly-anticipated album contains tracks such as Who, Flying High, The Fall, Are Yah Gonna and The Right One. Tessanne also collaborated with her sister, Tami Chynn, on You and Me.

Minister of Youth, Culture and Sports, the Honourable Olivia Grange, presented a short speech at the album launch, saying: "We celebrate your talent and we celebrate your creativity. May this be the first of many excellent productions."

She congratulated Tessanne on her work, encouraged her to continue and wished her well in future endeavours.

Extremely proud of the album, Tessanne held back tears and thanked those who played their part in making her dream a reality.

"It's been a long journey and I am happy and very thankful to know it's finally complete and to be able to offer it to my very loyal and patient fans. I guess it feels like my firstborn and I want to show it off to everyone," she said.

A well-experienced performer who has opened for artistes such as Boyz II Men, Keyshia Cole, Ky-Mani Marley, Diana King, Air Supply, Mary J Blige and Neyo, among others, Tessanne treated the audience to a wonderful performance.

Using the experience gained from those exposures, she delivered a fine performance of songs from the album as well as some of her already-popular songs.

Hitting the stage in black-and-white attire, she entertained the crowd with songs such as Are Yah Gonna, The Right One, Messenger and Taken.

She was later joined onstage by Tami and they performed a duet before Tessanne closed a wonderful performance and album launch with Flying High and Hideaway.
