A section of the Bog Walk gorge in St Catherine was blocked last night after a trailer overturned near the Flat Bridge.

Reports from the Bog Walk police are that the trailer, which was transporting a crane, was about to cross the bridge about 2 p.m. yesterday, when a section of the trailer which was housing the crane overturned.

The police said no one was hurt in the incident.

Another crane was sent to remove the disabled one and return the roadway to its normal state, the police said. Traffic was diverted through Sligoville and Barry.

Up to late last night, efforts to ascertain whether the roadway had been cleared proved futile.
