Six months in prison at hard labour was the court's sentence for a man who stole a chain from a lady's neck. The accused, Danny Brown, was charged with larceny when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday. The court heard that on December 7 of this year, the complainant was walking along the road at East Parade in downtown Kingston, when upon reaching the vicinity of the Jamaica Public Service, she was approached by the accused. The court heard that the accused then grabbed the complainant's chain from her neck and made his escape. The accused was later seen and pointed out to the police. He was taken into custody and subsequently arrested and charged. |
