Rasbert Turner, STAR Writer

Relatives of 21 -year-old Esmond Morris, who was one of three bodies dug up from what the police dubbed a criminal burial ground on Germain Road in Westchester, Portmore St.Catherine, have expressed sadness at his untimely passing.

"I can't believe dem really kill the yute like this. Him was only 21 years old, and yet still dem just tek weh him life like that. It is really sad, but God naw sleep," a female relative told THE STAR.

This view was echoed by others who said it is a real sad day for the Portmore municipality, and Westchester in particular.

stigmatised

Among the gathering was councillor, of the Westchester division,Shane Dalling, who observed "It really hurts to know that a civilised place like Portmore is being stigmatised with being a burial ground, where criminal choose to bury persons after killing them. This division cannot be the same, it is very sad. It was recently that Morris mother asked me to get a job for him as a labourer on the site. After this was done, he went to collect some money and after leaving the site two Mondays ago, he had not been seen," he said.

Meanwhile, senior police personnel from the scene of the crime and the St Catherine South Division were still busy combing the area in search of other bodies that may have been illegally buried there.

The police are still maintaining a presence in the area.

The area was where the Portmore private hospital should have been built and residents are now wondering what is next.

The two other bodies, which are in a state of decomposition, were not identified up to press time.

One of the cadaver was found headless.
