Dear Pastor,

When I was growing up in Jamaica, it was polite to say, "Hello", to any adult who speaks to you, and now it has reached the point where you have to tell your kids they should not speak to strangers.

Also in today's world, one has to be afraid of even one's relatives. My suggestion is, tell your kids if someone is doing something to them that they have to keep as a secret between them and the adult, then something is wrong. They should run away from it. No adult should be asking a child to keep a secret between them.

Parents should also begin teaching their kids about sex from an early age, so if someone tries to be sexual with the child, he or she would be aware of it and get out of the situation.
