Thirty-one-year-old Joann Gooden, of Nugent Street, Spanish Town, St Catherine, died after she was hit by a motor car on Highway 2000 this morning.

Information received from the Hunts Bay police is that about 8:45 a.m., Gooden was in the process of crossing the road near the old zinc factory when she was hit by a Honda Integra motor car heading towards downtown Kingston. She received multiple injuries and died on the spot. The police processed the scene and the body was removed.
