The St Catherine South Homicide Unit have taken a suspect in custody in connection with the murder of a female teenager.

He is being held in connection with the murder and rape of Vanessa Campbell.

Campbell, who is affectionately call "Munchie", was found behind the Greater Portmore Library in St Catherine on November 20.

It was later revealed that Campbell was raped and murdered.

The police reported that the deceased was seen coming from a motor car one day before her was body found.

The Star learnt that the man was picked up by detectives on Tuesday and is to be interviewed.
