TEACHERS FIGHT OVER SCHOOL MONEY

A primary school teacher who allegedly assaulted another teacher had his bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

He is 30-year-old Christopher Scott, who has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

Scott is to return to court on January 3, when the matter will be mentioned, as his file is incomplete.

Allegations are that on November 17, about 10:15 a.m., the complainant, who is also a teacher, got into an argument with Scott on the school compound over money earned from extra lessons that was supposed to be handed over to her.

It is alleged that a dispute ensued, when Scott grabbed the complainant by the neck and punched her in the face several times.

The matter was reported to the police and Scott was arrested and charged with assault.

However, Scott, who is denying the allegations, told resident Magistrate Judith Pusey, "your honour, I only shoved her".
