SOME MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS were made to 12 to 12 promotions' 12-hour beach party, Appleton 12 to 12, which clearly made the party a tremendous success.

The party was held at Fort Clarence Beach on Sunday.

The improvements were well received by patrons, as they attributed the Jamaican phrases "sell off" and "shot" to the three-year-old party, both during and hours after the event had ended.

"We really made a big improvement this year because last year we did not have a title sponsor, but this year we did," ZJ Smurf, who is part promoter of the event said. "This year Appleton came on board as title sponsors, we also paid more attention to the party decor, ensured that we had sufficient drinks and patrons even had a choice bar that was set up in a lounge setting, where they could purchase high-end liquors such as Hennessy if they so desired." The shores of the Fort Clarence Beach did come alive as Renaissance Disco, ZJ Smurf and Colin Hinds conjured up a musical ambience, which had an authentic flair that seemed to be exclusive to a bikini beach party, like this one, which was dubbed the 'White Cap Edition'.

Between 3 and 5 p.m., patrons were treated to 'sunday dinner'; where they were offered either oxtail, brown stew fish, curry goat or ham with rice and peas or white rice, that could be washed down by any of the drinks made available at the all-inclusive bars.

The vibes of the party carried on into the night, complemented by the sea breeze turned Christmas breeze, coupled with great music selection, a steady flow of the right drink mixes and food that was provided by Top Chef caterers.

While ZJ Smurf controlled the 'music machine', Chris Diamond introduced the audience to songs that had the females in a 'dash-it-out' frenzy, and the barrage of Vybz Kartel songs that ensued was the shot of adrenaline they needed to 'bruk-out'. His songs like Beaten Beaten, Gwaan Suh and Dumpa Truck were among the slew of hits that effused from the speakers.

Colin Hinds and Renaissance Disco also played enjoyable sets that were enjoyed by many in the earlier hours of the night.

Some of the celebrities who came out to party were Bounty Killer, D'Angel, Tifa, Konshens, D Major, Chi Ching Ching and others. ZJ Smurf brought the party to an end at 12:20 Monday morning.

"In a nutshell, everybody seh 12 to 12 shot! And our aim is to guh harder every year!" Smurf said.
