A man who has been charged with house breaking was remanded for psychiatric evaluation in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

He is 30-year-old Fabian Lewis of no fixed address, who pleaded guilty. He is to return to court on December 10.

Allegations are that Lewis entered the complainant's house through a window that he had removed and was found hiding under the bed. It is alleged that he entered the house with the intention to commit a felony, but was held by the complainant and handed over to the police.

Lewis who explained himself in court, stated that he only stole some snacks. "I sleep on the roof top, I never go to steal anything only little snacks, I never consider to hurt dem and I am begging your forgiveness, your honour mi a beg you some mercy," Lewis said.
