GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer

The Spaldings police are asking members of the public who might have information arising out of the murder of a 24 year-old Clarendon labourer, to come forward.

Detective Corporal Martin Morgan said Wayne Phillip Davy of Baillieston was chopped to death at his house between Monday night November 22 and early morning November 23.

Martin said Davy, who was last seen leaving a wake about 11 p.m. the Monday night, was found by relatives in a pool of blood in his yard about 7:15 a.m. His body had multiple chop wounds to the back of his head.

Morgan said police have not been able to identify any suspect or any motive, hence, they are asking the public for help. Persons may call the Spaldings police at 987-8058, 259-1473, Kingfish or Crime Stop.

In the meantime, a man accused of pilling a machete at the police when they went to investigate a house break-in at Spaldings Hill last Saturday, is now in police custody.

Kingsley 'Job, Robinson, 29, from Sanguinetti, Clarendon, is charged charged for house breaking, intent and assault at common-law.

Morgan said police went to a house to investigate a break-in when they were attacked by a man with a machete. The man shot in his right leg, treated at hospital and released in police custody.

The Bureau of Special Investigations is probing that incident.
