Westmoreland police seek persons of interest

WESTERN BUREAU:

The Westmoreland police have issued an appeal for several persons to turn themselves in to assist with investigations into unsolved matters.

Some of these people are considered persons of interest while others are wanted for questioning. Police say the questioning is to determine if the wanted persons might be able to aid with their investigations.

Those wanted for questioning are Romeo 'Rome' Vassell, of Queen Street, Savanna-la-Mar, who is wanted for illegal possession of firearm and shooting with intent; George William Gordon, better known as 'Lacka Dog', of Hatfield, near Savanna-la-Mar. He is wanted for illegal possession of firearm and robbery with aggravation; Notola 'Bloody Bloody' Wedderburn of Upstreet, Belmont, who is wanted for illegal possession of firearm and robbery and Oshane 'Shabba' Rankin of Hudson Street, who is wanted for illegal possession of firearm and wounding with intent.

These men have been wanted for sometime now. Police say Earle, Wedderburn and Ramsay have been wanted for almost a year. Vassell has featured on the police list over the past six months. Gordon is wanted for the past three months while Rankin has been wanted a week now.

The persons of interest are Delroy 'Junior' Earle of Seaton Crescent in Savanna-la-Mar and Payne Avenue, Kingston; Jermaine 'Franco' Ramsay of Prospect, wanted for questioning in connection with robbery and illegal possession of firearm and Ramar 'Blacks' Cunningham of Harmony Town, a person of interest in a murder case.
