The police in St Catherine say their suspicion has been greatly aroused following the recent attacks on two security guards, in separate incidents, who are known to carry out duties at a high school in the parish.

Police sources told THE STAR that the chain of events surrounding the matter has left them to believe that there is some hidden motive behind the attacks.

Reports are that one of the security guards has been left nursing injuries after fleeing for his life from a group of men who invaded his home last week

"One of the guards is still in hospital as a result of injuries received. The other was attacked at the school the following night but him run fi him life," an officer told THE STAR.

According to the police, the first security guard who was attacked broke his leg during his attempt to escape the men.

The police said that the following night, the same group of men went to the school where the guard works and attacked his colleague who was on duty.

That guard, however, managed to outrun his attackers and escaped their wrath which was sparked by a reason unknown to the police.

"From the way how dem decide to fix up the guard and him colleague, show you clearly that something is wrong," a police source said.

The police say they will be trying their best to find out as much as they can as it relates to these incidents.
