The body of an unidentified woman was found in bushes in an open lot near Dyke Road, Portmore, St Catherine, yesterday evening. The body had multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest and was clad in a black and white blouse and black jeans pants. THE STAR was informed by a detective attached to the St Catherine South Police Division that a citizen had stumbled upon the body around 4 p.m. and called the police. Up to press time last night, checks with the police revealed that the identity of the woman was still not known. It is believed that the woman was killed elsewhere and dumped in the open lot. When THE STAR arrived at the scene, curious onlookers were seen there as the body was being taken away. At the same time, motorists travelling on the Dyke Road encountered a traffic jam as curious motorists drove by slowly in an attempt to get a glimpse of what was happening. |
