DJ Aggart makes his mark as a disc jockey

With over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry, DJ Aggart is intent on leaving his mark and making his name known as one of Jamaica's best disc jockeys.

He spoke of his beginnings in entertainment saying, "Mi usually just love dancing and love music, so mi usually deh 'round sounds like Loving Top sound and others."

Years after that, he now has his own sound system, Jamrock Sound, which has been in operation for about 10 years.

"Mi play fi a mature audience, I play for everybody, whether is hip hop, souls, dancehall or soca," said Aggart.

"Some people call my style international juggling," he added.

His style, he said, can never get old or 'outdated' because, according to Aggart, "I listen and try to adapt, because sometimes the game change and yuh affi change with it."

He, however, spoke of his "tough" journey getting in the dancehall circles. Aggart said, "The journey really rugged, because it hard to get publicity, fi know people and mek people really get to know yuh. More while persons who nuh have the talent out there because they have connections, but persons with the talent nuh always get di buss."

DJ Aggart has performed in countries such as Curaçao, St Kitts, Antigua, Anguilla and Montserrat, and can be heard playing at weekly events such as Flava Mondays, Hot Mondays and Happy Sundays.
