Police shot 12 times?

A policeman was among three persons shot and killed in two separate incidents in the St Andrew North Police division last night.

Up to press time this morning, the identities of the persons were still unknown as THE STAR was told that the relatives of the deceased persons had not yet been informed. Information surrounding both incidents were also sketchy as police on the scene said they were still gathering information.

Reports are that the policeman was shot about some time after 10 p.m. last night, when he went to Valentine Castle Drive in Kingston 19. Police reports are that the policeman had just brought home a female companion when a gunman walked up and opened fire on him. He was reportedly shot 12 times. The female was not hurt.

Meanwhile, about 30 minutes earlier, two men were shot and killed along Mannings' Hill Road, also in Kingston 19. The police said the men were shot near The Salvation Army.
