GC Foster topple UWI |

UWI coach Neville Bell A new champion will be crowned this year in the Gregg Garrell Knockout Intercollegiate Football competition as defending champions University of the West Indies were beaten 1-0 in the semi-final by G.C. Foster College. The Spanish Town-based team will be joined by College of Agriculture, Science and Education (CASE) who defeated Portmore Community College 2-1 in their semi-final. Both teams will also seek more glory as they are doing well in the Division 1 League competition. defeated So far, UTech have defeated Sam Sharpe Teachers' College 1-0 and The Mico University College 2-1 to be on six points. G.C. Foster College who also defeated the University of the West Indies 1-0 in league, had a second win recently when they turned back VTDI 3-0 at G.C. Foster to be on six points, same as UTech. Results of other Division 1 matches played so far are: Portmore 1, Sam Sharpe 0; Portmore 6, Bethlehem 2; Knox 2, Mico 0; CASE 2, Bethlehem 1. Moneague Teachers' College are the early leaders in Division 2 with six points following two recent wins. In their first game, they defeated Church's Teacher's College 2-1 before turning back Exed Community College 3-1. Results of other matches played so far in the Division are Browns Town 2 Exed 1; NCU 4 UCC 0; MoBay 4 Church 2; St Joseph's 0 CMI 0. |
