Campbell tops them

Top amateur golfer Fabian Campbell was declared the oveall winner of the Phoenix Charity Golf Tournament which was held on Saturday, October 23, at the Constant Spring Golf Club in Kingston. Fifty-eight golfers participated in the event which was sponsored by Sterling Asset Management Limited.

Campbell shot a six under par 64 to earn 44 points in the Stableford scoring.

The winner of the 0-9 category was Paul Leyow with 38 points; while in the 10-18 category, Tommy Smith took the trophy with 43 points. Top scorer in the 19-24 category was Tony Thomas and in the 25 and over category, Donald Patterson was declared the winner with 26 points.

The winner of the ladies section was Anna Tjernell.

The organisers presented more than 30 prizes overall. Among the other winners were Cedric Blair for having the longest drive among the men, while Rowena Coe proved to have the longest drive among the women. Jimmy Moss-Solomon won the prize for nearest to the pin.
