It used to be very popular for medical students or residents to marry nurses. These nurses would put them through medical school and when the doctors start, earning big money, they divorce the nurses and leave them behind. That does not happen anymore. The judge who is at the divorce court will award these women part of the future earnings of the doctors if they can show how they contributed to the ability of them becoming doctors.
