'Igloo' action in Ochi

Patrons were encouraged to bring their igloos and there were many, packed with ice and various types of beverages. But that was where the cold ended.

Igloo (the party), held on Heroes Day at Drax Hall Estate Beach in St Ann, was certainly the hottest spot for the holiday weekend in St Ann.

The venue was used all weekend for various sessions so there were those who thought another session there Monday night might not swing.

Were they wrong! Igloo was party, party, like it was going out of style.

The venue, a secluded beach area far from the main road, and with little development nearby, was conducive to revelry and there was no letting up.

The young women, especially, showed no inhibition and seemed to have gone crazy all evening on the beach as the Coppershot crew, which made the party rounds over the weekend, along with Timeless and Illusion, Crazy Neil, and Super Style, kept the party vibes at the maximum.

Women, with their hands braced against an igloo for support, had their bumpers properly ridden by their male partners in what one patron referred to as a new dance, appropriately titled The Igloo.

Hip-hop and dancehall music ruled, for the most part, and it was non-stop fun for patrons.

Heavy security ensured that patrons felt safe throughout.

Keri-Ann McKenzie, brand manager, Heineken, said she was extremely pleased with the event and said it provided the perfect close to a weekend full of vibes, fun and good entertainment.
