Dear Pastor I'm a 16-year-old girl who like your work and read this section of the paper a lot, but I have a little problem of my own. I'm madly in love with this boy at school. I attend a boarding school and so does he, so I see him every day and often fantasise about us being together. Whenever I see him I love him more, and whenever our eyes meet I love him more. Why I'm writing this is that something is going wrong with me. I used to talk to this cute and wonderful boy who is also 16, but I messed it up by believing a rumour that he and my friend were together. I know that was foolish of me and now I want him in my life, but for some reason I think he also wants me back because people have told me so. The funniest thing is that he is always looking at me and my friends keep telling me that he is looking at me. I feel that he still likes me. What should I do to make him love me again? How can I get him back in my life? Pastor I really love and want this boy in my life. K.C., London England Dear K.C., You are a young girl and it is normal for you to admire boys. However, I am afraid that you are allowing your emotions to get the better of you. At your age you should have a number of guys who are your friends but you should not go steady with any of them. You like a young man who attends your school and you fantasise about him. Don't condemn yourself for doing so. Most people fantasise or have fantasised. But what you must be careful not to do is to put into practise what you have fantasised about. You will not die if these young men don't talk or show interest in you. You don't have to fight to get this cute guy back in your life. Cute teenage guys like to have many girls in their lives. It boosts their ego and they like to brag about how many girls they have sex with. And, very often when they are tired with them, they dump them and seek the attention of others. Pastor |
