The police are searching for 10 men to assist them in their investigations into an upsurge in crime, which has resulted in two deaths in Hellshire, St Catherine, since Monday.

Investigators said the men are members of the Wedderburn and Rasta City gangs, operating out of Hellshire Park.

One of the dead men has been identified as 'Blackie Bud' of Sand Hill in the community.

Police reports are that around 8 p.m. a group of armed thugs invaded a house at Canary Way in the Hellshire Park Housing Scheme and sprayed the occupants with bullets.

Blackie Bud and four teens, ages 13, 15, 17 and 18, who were reportedly at the house, were hit.

They were rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where Blackie Bud was pronounced dead and the teenagers admitted in serious but stable condition.

The police said the 10 men are wanted in connection with the death of Blackie Bud and the injuring of the four teenagers.

The 10 men have been identified as:

1. 'Cuz' - real name unknown. The police want to question 'Cuz' in relation to the shooting incident yesterday in Hellshire Park as they believe he might be of assistance.

2. André Thomas, o/c 'Oochi Kong', of the Rasta City Gang

3. Elrado Rochester (no alias of the Rasta City Gang

4. Oshane McLean (no alias of the Rasta City Gang

5. Marvin Bingham, o/c Kimar, of the Rasta City Gang.

6. Theophilus Pennicooke of the Rasta City Gang

7. Odaro Wedderburn, alias 'Thick Man', of the Wedderburn Gang

8. Sadio Coombs, alias 'Dolly Man', alias Puray, of the Wedderburn Gang

9. Germain Strawn, alias 'Bones', alias 'Pree Dem', of the Wedeerburn Gang

10. Odane Pike, alias 'Criminal', of the Wedderburn Gang

Police said the shooting is a reprisal for the murder of 20-year-old Romaine Emmanuel, who was from another section of the community and was killed early Monday morning as he and a group of friends were reportedly walking home from a wake.

Investigators in the St Catherine South Division say the area is now tense and the police have been maintaining a presence in the search for these men.
