With the fourth season of Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall around the corner, and with the exit of Empress as host of the show, the producers decided to do a nationwide call for a new host to fill the envied post of Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall host.

The auditions were held on Sunday, October 17, at the Knutsford Court Hotel in New Kingston and numerous persons from all ages came out to try for the position.

One such contestant was Natalie Hudson who is 37 years old. She says she is excited at the opportunity to audition for such a sought after position. "I feel great because I am the oldest and I know that age does not make a difference. This is one of the best shows on local TV and I know I can bring a lot of fun and excitement to it with my style and flavour."

Another contestant who fancies himself a favourite is Nicholas Henry. The 20-year-old travelled from Albion, in St Thomas, and believes he did his best. "I know I have the talent and I bring a twist to anything I am doing. I also know people will look forward to seeing me do my thing on TV. This is my first time auditioning for anything like this. I did it because a show like this needs a certain kind of hands-on experience which I can bring, some charisma, laughter and fun."
