H View, Tivoli meet again

Ricardo Makyn-Habour View's Dicoy Williams heads the ball away from a Tivoli opponent.

Defending champions Har-bour View will look to capitalise on momentum gained from thrashing Boys' Town 5-1 midweek, when they take on another rival Tivoli Gardens, at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex in the Digicel Premier League today.

A keen battle tends to unfold when the last two winners of the Premier League come face to face and with only three points between them, tomorrow's encounter is expected to bring much of the same.

The Stars of the East snapped a three game winless streak when they hosted the Red Brigade at Compound on Wednesday.Midfielder Jermaine Hue, who secured a brace during the encounter, looking in exceptional form.

The win moved Harbour View from mid-table to third place on 10 points, three behind joint leaders Waterhouse and Portmore United. Tivoli on the other hand will hope to bounce back from their second loss of the season, after a late goal by Waterhouse's Jermaine Anderson saw them come away 1-0 losers at Drewsland. Despite having a game in hand the west Kingston will be anxious not to lose anymore points.

Waterhouse will in the meantime hope to maintain their excellent early season form when they travel to Collie Smith Drive to face a wounded Boys' Town, who must dust themselves as quickly as possible.

However, if Boys' Town's recent league record against Waterhouse plays true to form, they could have a tough time as they have lost the last three games against Drews-land opposition.

Portmore United could have their hands full when they host an unpredictable Arnett Gardens at Ferdie Neita Park. The St Catherine team will hope that striker Steven Morrissey, who scored his fourth goal of the season in a 1-0 win at Brancourt against Sporting Central midweek, will keep finding the back of the net.

In the day's other games struggling Humble Lion will hope to get their first win of the season against promoted team Benfica at the Effortville, while Reno host St Georges at Frome. Sporting Central will travel to the Trelawny Stadium where they face Village.
