Antigua, Barbados, St Kitts and Jamaica have already selected lucky consumers of Guinness to experience musical greatness at the national Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Guinness, an international beer, celebrates 251 years, and is currently executing the Arthur Guinness celebration promotion in 12 Caribbean territories, a feat never before attempted in the region.

The Arthur Guinness Day celebration, scheduled for October 23 at the National Stadium in Kingston, will be attended by 13 winners from nine Caribbean islands. Winners will receive all- expense-paid trips to the event.

Guinness is sold in 26 territories in the Caribbean, and for the first time, 11 of these territories are holding consumer-based activations in celebration of the founding father, Sir Arthur Guinness.

The promotion is currently being run in Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Vincent, Trinidad and Jamaica. Antigua, Barbados and St Kitts have already selected their lucky consumers. Guinness is underwriting travel costs to Jamaica as well as accommodation and transportation for each winner. The lucky consumers will also be given the Guinness treatment at the concert set to feature Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, Lady Saw, Wayne Wonder, Shaggy, among several other hot Jamaican stars.

Gareth Geddes, regional brand manager for Diageo, a global alcoholic beverages company, is happy with the response from the region. He explained: "During my visit to several of the participating territories recently, the response was tremendous. We continue to showcase Guinness, which is an international brand in the region. No other brand has sought to revere its founding father in this manner. Guinness is a brand of 251 years and remains relevant and we are pleased to continue our habit of putting consumers at the heart of our activation. That is what this promotion represents."

The Arthur Guinness Celebration takes place at the National Stadium in Jamaica, on Saturday, October 23. Hundreds of Jamaican consumers have already redeemed tickets to the event via the under-the-cap or text promotion currently under way.
