Star Tell Me Pastor

I need legal advice
Dear Pastor,

I have a problem and I hope you can help me with it. My father was murdered back in 2007. At the time he was living with his wife, two stepdaughters and his daughter which is my sister. I am the first child for my father but the relationship with my mother was quite a way in the past. When I was 18, he was murdered. His wife, step-daughters and I never got along but I always saw my sister who was about nine years old when he died.

The problem is that since he died, I have not seen or had any contact with my sister at all. They have moved from where they were living and I have tried but I cannot get an address for them or a phone number because they have changed their telephone numbers.

There was some insurance money that was issued to the wife when he died that should have been shared between my grandmother, his wife and me. There is a house that my father was building that was not completed and is now the habitat of thieves, drug addicts and other persons that my father would never associate himself with.

legal control

What can I do to get control of that house legally? My sister grew up being close to my grandmother. They shared a wonderful relationship which I never got to have with her since I did not meet her until I was 16. She died of cancer last year and my sister was not even allowed to visit her before she died, much less to attend her funeral. There are a lot of other family members that she does not know and I would love for her to know them and not grow up ignorant of them like I did. Pastor, what can I do to get in contact with her somehow?

I visited the school that she used to attend but she no longer goes there. Her mother was a nurse at the main hospital here but no longer. What steps can I take within the law to get in contact with her? There is a lot more that I could say but I will end here. Please pastor, I need your help. I don't want her to grow up as I did.

R.F.,Clarendon

Dear R.F.,

I wonder why you did not give the names of the persons you wish to find. You probably would have been fortunate to find them through this medium. However, I would suggest that you speak to a lawyer about your concerns. He/she would give you legal advice.
