Man faces forgery charges
A man who ran away after he tendered a stolen cheque along with a fake identification card to a bank in the Corporate Area was later apprehended in Highgate, St. Mary.

He is 31-year-old Kapatrick Daley who was granted bail in the amount of $100, 000 in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. Daley was arrested and charged with forgery, uttering false documents and simple larceny.

Allegations are that on August 13, around 2:30 p.m Daley went into a National Commercial Bank in the Corporate Area where he tendered a stolen cheque and a fake national voters identification card. It is further alleged that when a personnel from the bank, who became suspicious, went to make checks on the cheque and the national identification card, Daley ran from the bank. The matter was reported to the police and he was later picked up in Highgate, St. Mary.

When he appeared in court yesterday his file was not ready and as a result, Daley is to return to court on November 3 when the matter will be mentioned.
