UNNU BETTA TAN DEH DEH!

with Blakka Ellis

Hear mi nuh man, the Ity & Fancy cat show nah ramp yu know!

First it was 'Driving Mr Coke' - with Ity as Reverend Al and Fancy Cat as Dudus. That skit humorously caricatured the now famous arrest of Jamaica's most famous 'don' who was apprehended in the company of one of the country's most popular and charismatic pastors; and it was the first item from season 3 of the Ity & Fancy Cat show to go totally viral on the World Wide Web. Everybody and her sister were busy uploading it from Youtube.com and sending it to everybody else and their cousins.

Now it's Miss Jennifer the 'Country Helper' taking the world by storm. It has now totally eclipsed the 'Driving Mr Coke'. The 'The Country Helper' features Ity as a bewildered employer and Kathy Grant as his determined helper who is strictly following his order that states 'nuh let eeen nobody!'

The piece has become so popular that the young actress/teacher is now having a hard time travelling around in peace. She's also getting multiple requests to appear on public events. And the signature phrase from her character 'tan deh deh' has now become the latest slang. Yeah man, it is now the hottest talk on the streets with everybody now busy telling everybody else fi tan deh deh.

Singers and broadcasters are adopting the phrase as a way of encouraging their audiences to sit tight and stay locked. Disc Jockeys are scrambling to get permission to sample it as a jingle for use on their radio shows or in the dance hall. And 'tan deh deh' is now set to create new waves on the music scene. Let me be the first to give you the scoop. There is now a brand new rhythm in the dance hall; and guess wha it name? That's right, it's called 'tan deh deh'.

serious lyrics

People unnu must look out for the 'tan deh deh' catalogue; and membah mi tell yu dis, it going to be insane! It's being released by noted music producer Danny Champagne and will hit the road soon. Like yesterday! And hear this: the first song on the rhythm has Fancy Cat showing off his versatility by dropping some serious lyrics as a DJ and proving that his creative competence goes way beyond just comedy. The next tune will feature Kathy Grant in character as Miss Jennifer putting her own spin on the theme. Mr. 'Too-much-fi-pound-a-rice' Roza Roze will also drop his 'tan deh deh' version.

And shhhh ... don't tell anybody yet, but the new 'tan deh deh' dance also coming soon too. Trust me, it going to erupt like a volcano in the dance hall. So massive, get ready fi jump on pon di groove or give it way mek it move.

Peeps, Ity & Fancy Cat are appearing live at the Solar Dome Banquet Hall in Toronto this coming Sunday, and they might just give the Canadian audience a pre-release sampling. So Miss Madam and Mr Sar, unnu nuh ready? Well ready or not this new wave is set to go places. Yeah man, it shell off and sell off, tek off and buss weh. So unnnu better tan deh yu hear, tan deh deh!
