Man assaults relative with boiling water? |

|
A man described as "having a problem upstairs "faced the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday after being accused of throwing boiling water on his relative, causing injuries. Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Ricardo Jacobs, otherwise known as Ricky. Allegations are that on the day of the incident, the complainant and Jacobs had a dispute which developed into a fight. extreme injuries A pot of boiling water was then used to burn the feet of the complainant, causing extreme injuries to them. It was also revealed in court that Jacobs had allegedly threatened the complainant a day before the incident. After the details in the matter were heard, Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey then informed Jacobs that, "I'm sending you to see the doctor". Jacobs was remanded in custody for psychiatric treatment. He will return to court on October 15. |
